Writing has been a part of my life for as long as I remember. At first for other people: speeches, blogs and articles. Then I began to write for myself. My first novel was, predictably, semi-autobiographical.

My confidence grew and I veered further away from my own life's story to tell the narratives of different women from different times. My historical romance, “A Daughter of the King,” is about Jeanne Denot, one of 800 women sent from Paris to Canada in the 1600s. Jeanne happens to be my ancestor. So maybe I didn't veer quite as far as I'd planned.

The manuscript blossomed thanks to the support of the world’s best writer’s group: The Stockholm Writers Group. For more than 20 years, they’ve been loving the projects of writers from all different genres.

In 2017, I founded the Stockholm Writers Festival (SWF). My hometown of Stockholm lacked any international gatherings for writers, so, with the help of the community, I pulled together the inaugural Festival. Now we're four years on but one thing hasn't changed: The Festival is about love for writers and writing.
